Dewatering combines the use of portable pumps and installed drainage systems to remove flooding and firefighting water. Some of the portable equipment most often used included the submersible pump, the P-500 pump and eductors. Buckets were also used in small scale flooding as the final step in dewatering when other equipment lost suction.
