Bucket Patch

DESCRIPTION: Similar to the Box Patch, the bucket patch box is open at one end and has a gasket running along the face edges. The gasket may be rubber or canvas stuffed with oakum. USE: Used in a variety of ways to stop leaks. It can be pushed into a hole bottom first as a metal plug or to cover small holes from protruding side in bulkheads or ship's hull. Secured with J, T, or L bolts. USE TIP: Manufactured by ship's force. Use metal bucket with 1/2" gasket material on edge. Use with J, T or L bolts. Marline around the stock to within ½” of end will help prevent slipping and allow improved grip. REF: NAVSEA Drawing No. 804-5959243. Parent AEL. PATCH-BUCKET - 1HS0000-LL-CJ7-5881 WT. 2.0 lbs.
