|
Designed to provide a jumper between broken piping systems. The broken section of pipe was removed just after an isolation valve. The adapter flange was bolted in place one male and one female then a fire hose was used to connect the two sides re-storing the piping system. DESCRIPTION: The flanges are made of bronze and is a variation of a solid blank flange plate except that the center is cut away, and the hole is surrounded by a short threaded pipe. USE: The adapter may be bolted to any similar flange on a pipeline, and a hose may be coupled to the pipe threads for rigging a jumper hose; a plug or cap may be installed to blank the line. Maximum operating pressure for steam is 100 PSI at 425° F; for water, oil, and gas, 150 PSI at 150° F. The fittings are intended for use with copper tube, copper nickel tube, brass tube, and nickel copper alloy tube.
