USS PENNSYLVANIA (SSBN 735), Grounding, 29 September 1989 |
On September 29, 1989, the Ohio class submarine, USS Pennsylvania (SSBN 735) ran aground while entering the channel for a port visit to Port Canaveral, Florida. It took 2 hours for tugboats to free the submarine. There were no personnel casualties or injuries reported. |
