USS JOHN F. KENNEDY (CV 67), Fires, 20 June 1975 On June 20, 1975, the aircraft carrier, USS John F. Kennedy (CV 67) suffered from eight small fires while in port Norfolk, VA. The fires may have been started by a crewmember in an effort to postpone the carrier’s departure on a seven-month deployment. There were no personnel casualties or injuries reported. |
