USS INCHON (LPH 12), Electrical Fire, 14 November 1989 On November 14, 1989, the Iwo Jima class amphibious assault ship, USS Inchon (LPH 12) experienced a fire in the hangar deck while undergoing maintenance in Norfolk, VA. There were no casualties but 31 injuries reported as a result of the fire.
