USS CONSTELLATION (CV 64), Fire, 10 July 1971 On July 10, 1971, the Kitty Hawk class aircraft carrier, USS Constellation (CV 64) suffered a machinery room fire while moored at San Diego, CA. The fire took one hour to extinguish. There were no personnel casualties or injuries reported. |
